I have a bunch of stuff to pass on, but I cut the tip of my index finger, so typing is strange, at best.  I’ll see what I can do, but I should be back soon with the rest of what I have (unless work does in fact manage to kill me this week).

Go ahead, give those things up. Because without organized labor, you wouldn’t have any of those rights or benefits in the first place.

In honor of President’s Day, Nerve has ranked the Presidents and First Ladies in terms of sexiness.  You should easily be able to guess who tops the First Lady list, but, points for this description of number 28:

Abigail Adams was not the ugliest first lady, by any means. Just frighteningly severe and voted most likely to “cut a bitch.”

So it looks like some movie studios are thinking about releasing their features as Apps.  Interesting concept, and it would enable you to take it with you to new devices since app purchases are tied to your e-mail permanently.  We’ll see how this plays out.

Also speaking of nerdy things, The Wheel of Time is being made into a game.  Guess I should get working on finishing books 9-13 (and 14 when it comes out).

What if the Mississippi River was really a transit map?  This is really cool, although I was sad to see the Yough wasn’t listed.

Also, I’m really excited that the Scottish Deer Hound won Westminster!  I saw it for the first time on Thanksgiving and think it’s a really cool dog!

I was never a huge fan of Groundhog Day, but maybe I wasn’t old enough when I first saw it.  But anyway, here’s a bunch of estimations about how much time actually takes place.

Morgan Spurlock is trying to reimagine Times Square with no ads.  But really, it’s a lot of work.  But I imagine some of the touched up images will become ads themselves with creative use of the textures.

Google has a new project that uses a Street View type interface, but instead, goes through art galleries.  I’ll be checking it out later.

First he didn’t understand how the tides work, now he’s confused about the moon.  More proof (like we needed any) that Bill O’Reilly is a fucking retard.  And I use that phrase out of respect to Stephen Corbert’s wishes.  One of the people in the comments hit it spot on though:

Two quick questions

Two quick questions.  First, Metblogs had a massive database fail, and I’ not sure what’s going on.  But I still want to write about Pittsburgh.  I have two ideas, but wanted to see if anyone has a use for another unpaid Pittsburgh blogger.  I occasionally get invited to special events, apparently have some kind of following and like to write sarcastically about transportation, among other local things.

Two: is YouTube really, really, slow for anyone else?  I know they were hosting a lot of clips for Egypt, so I think that may have something to do with it, but it’s kind of unbearable right now.

Thanks, I should be back tomorrow or Friday with a bigger post, once I get some sleep!

Couple things for everyone.  First up, the Old Spice man is going to be coming back!  Check it out:

And apparently Canada is just as behind the times as the U.S. is.  Once again, they are trying to remove the ban on gay blood donation.

This is kind of amazing, and scary.  A woman in the UK had certain connections in her brain burned out by a laser, because they were too active and were causing her depression.

Did you watch the State of the Union?  How about all the match-making on with it?  While I like the idea behind it, I am kind of sad that it actually turned into celebrity match-making.  Sigh:

Do we really have to have this fight again?  There is no link between violent video games and violent action in the real world.  Otherwise, I’d be out killing people with a lightsaber every single weekend.
