Today's Mighty Oak

“If God had wanted me otherwise, He would have created me otherwise.” ~Johann von Goethe

Alright, let’s see what we have today.  First up, NASA is releasing news about the water on comet 67P, which does not appear to be the type of water we have on earth.

Students at MIT made a wooden roller coaster in the middle of campus.

A great infographic to help you cipher out all those mythical creatures.

This Christmas light display is set to the Star Wars music, a first that I’ve seen:

Native American Council offers amnesty to 220 million whites.  Satire, but poignant.

Also satire, all the nation’s gay straw-men march on Washington for the right to marry animals.

Interactive paper snowflake maker to help you come up with new designs.

Just watch this, it’s amazing:

SNL parodies the new Star Wars trailer.  My favorite is Princess Leia and her glasses.

Michael Keaton nails it.  When asked how he felt about other people playing Batman he replied,

“Do you know why? Because I’m Batman. I’m very secure in that.”

Would you like to shoot fireballs from your hands?  Of course you would.  Here’s how.

After a gay choir director was fired from a church, they’ll have to close because membership plummeted in response.

More and more details from the Ferguson Grand Jury are coming out, and they’re showing just how much of a fraud the whole thing was.  The Governor (Democrat by the way) assigned an inept prosecutor with an agenda, who then had the grand jury work with previously overturned laws and submitted testimony from “witnesses” he knew were lies.

I’ve recommended “I’m From Driftwood” before, and this is one of their latest videos, really good:

The Salvation Army has a long and well-documented hatred of the LGBT community, and I always encourage people to donate to a different charity.  That being said, the bellringers are volunteers and often aren’t that involved with the organization itself, so if they ask, just politely decline and donate elsewhere.

The closing musical segment of The Colbert Report was amazing.  Check it out.

JK Rowling tweeted this out, because she’s amazing:

And sadly, what we’ve known for years, expanding the T to Oakland would be “problematic,” for a number of reasons.  Sadly, it’s just not feasible, not right now.  BRT isn’t the answer either, but it looks like that’s what we’re going to try.
