Wherein I once again talk about the Manhattan Doctrine

Written: 10/07/2012

The Manhattan Doctrine is a hateful thing, an anti-LGBT pledge to the highest degree.  Fun fact, at least one of the supreme court justices has signed it, pledging, among other things, that he will ignore laws that give any rights to the LGBT community.

Anyone that liked it on facebook was immediately deleted or hidden, I’m not dealing with anything they could possibly say, including one of my best friend’s moms.  She thinks I’m great, but if she knew I was gay, that would probably change, so good riddance.

It’s funny that the creator of the Manhattan Doctrine just had a revelation seeing the magnets and stickers of the Human Rights Campaign.  He never makes the leap to see that isn’t just two lines, it’s an equals sign, but he sees the powers in logos nonetheless.

So he came up with his own.  And honestly, from a design standpoint, it’s good:

But the fun infighting continues, as some of those who signed want their names removed, not realizing the whole thing had an evangelical slant.  They want to hate, just not be associated with evangelicals.  Let that one roll around your brain for a while, it hurts.

Anyway, Joe My God has the story here.

All my best,

The King of Spades
