Today's Mighty Oak

“Only two things are infinite, the universe and human stupidity, and I’m not sure about the former.”

The quote above comes from Albert Einstein by the way.

So, let me tell you a little story…once upon a time, this man needed to buy a pair of scout pants.  So I (yes, switching back to first person) went to the scout shop and purhcased a pair, how novel.  The bill came to 34 and some change, no big deal, I have a debit account!  I find out a few days later, that they kind of forgot the decimal point and charged me almost $3500.00.  I don't have that kind of a debit account!

Unbeknownst to me, in the meantime, I made three more purchases, all resulting in overdraft fees.  The reversal should go through today and the scout shop is sending me a check for almost a hundred dollars to cover the fees…what a week.

In other news, I finished two books yesterday and hopefully will be putting up reviews of them soon enough.  Aside from that, nothing too exciting is going on, at least nothing as "fun and exciting" as the banking situation.
